Cloudy Deliveries has been named overall winner of the 2025 Standard Bank Kasi SME National Pitch Challenge, taking home R200 000 at the national finals held in KwaZulu-Natal on 27 August. The competition, now in its third year and expanded nationally for the first time, drew more than 850 applications from township entrepreneurs across all nine provinces.

The top five were Cloudy Deliveries (Western Cape) in first place; Ukuhamba (Gauteng) in second with R100 000; Keiskamma Hygiene Services and Projects (Eastern Cape) in third with R80 000; Ariel Robotics (KwaZulu-Natal) in fourth with R70 000; and Sky Drop (KwaZulu-Natal) in fifth with R50 000.
Finalists completed a national pitch masterclass covering storytelling, financial fundamentals, go-to-market strategy and investor engagement. They also received SimplyBLU payment devices and tickets to the South African Future Trust Summit in November to access investor platforms.
Standard Bank said hosting the event in KwaZulu-Natal—South Africa’s second-largest regional economy—aligns with its strategy to place township entrepreneurs at the centre of growth. The challenge was delivered with SAFT and is anchored in the bank’s Enterprise and Supplier Development programme for high-potential black-owned SMEs.
