SunCulture has secured $5 million in investment to scale its solar-powered irrigation solutions across Africa. The funding will support expansion in markets such as Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia, and bolster the company’s mission to unlock agricultural growth through off-grid solar water pumps.
The move underlines how renewable energy can be a powerful catalyst for food security and rural enterprise. SunCulture’s solar systems reduce dependence on rain, cut fuel costs, and help smallholder farmers grow more reliably.
With this boost, the company plans to deepen local partnerships, expand distribution networks and invest in training for sustainable adoption. The hope is that improved access to clean irrigation will drive productivity, resilience and inclusive growth in Africa’s agricultural sectors.
