Corporate South Africa provides vital information regarding rate of transformation and job creation.

Established  small business development specialists, Edge Growth is preparing to announce the findings of their annual research into the state of ESD and SME Development on Friday 3 September 2021. These findings will provide vital information from corporate South Africa as to the current challenges faced in Enterprise and Supplier Development, particularly in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and its devastating impact on small business development.

STRIVE – An Executive’s Event for ESD and SME Development effectiveness will be live-streamed to a national audience. Aimed at corporates involved in ESD, SME development, transformation, procurement and supply chain management, this event will provide access to comprehensive and never before shared data collected from this year’s survey as well as exclusive insights concerning the current state and future of the ESD industry.

The 2018 ESD survey indicated that over 22% of corporate organisations did not know the impact of their ESD initiatives on their SMEs. 2019 showed monumental improvement in this category with 89% of responding organisations engaging in impact data tracking. Given the severe impact on both corporates and small businesses over the last 18 months, what will the 2021 survey results show and how will this affect corporates and SMEs going forward?
