Bybit is expanding in South Africa with a push that combines partnerships, seamless rand access and new scholarship programmes. The exchange says it aims to be the country’s most trusted and user-friendly crypto platform in 2025.
A strategic partnership with Altify Capital is designed to give local traders easier access to crypto trading solutions. Bybit users gain advanced tools and tighter links between South Africa’s financial systems and global markets, supported by the exchange’s liquidity, low fees and security.
New on- and off-ramp integration lets South Africans move between rand (ZAR) and crypto with far less friction. Users can deposit ZAR to buy assets such as bitcoin, ether and USDT, and withdraw in ZAR to local banking rails, simplifying cash-in and cash-out for everyday trading.
Under its CSR agenda, Bybit has launched a scholarship programme for university students, offering up to US$4,000 (about R69 000) per award. Applicants submit short videos on their goals, with winners selected for creativity, authenticity and vision. The initiative backs skills development and future talent in South Africa.
Bybit frames South Africa as a priority market, pairing its global liquidity and product set with local partnerships, fiat rails and education support. The strategy targets traders looking for accessible tools and students seeking opportunity in the digital economy.
