The Dis-Chem Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its 7th consecutive Blanket Campaign, aiming to provide much-needed warmth to vulnerable individuals and communities during the winter months. This year, the Dis-Chem Foundation has once again donated over 5,500 blankets to various charities and non-profit organizations across the country.

In a remarkable show of solidarity, Hot Cares joined forces with the Dis-Chem Foundation for the second consecutive year, contributing an impressive 3000 gloves, beanies, and socks to the nominated beneficiaries, as chosen by the public. Together, they strive to make a difference in the lives of those in need.

The carefully selected beneficiaries encompass a wide range of organizations, including homeless shelters, children’s homes, old age homes, animal shelters, and soup kitchens nationwide. The Dis-Chem Foundation actively encourages the public to nominate deserving causes through their Dis-Chem Facebook and Instagram pages.

Expressing gratitude, the Dis-Chem Foundation acknowledges the invaluable support of all Dis-Chem and Dis-Chem Baby City benefit card holders whose eligible purchases contribute to the well-being of the communities. Every contribution, no matter how small, plays a significant role in the community.

“The Dis-Chem Foundation firmly believes that everyone deserves a warm and comfortable winter. We are immensely grateful for the continuous support and generosity of our community,” remarked a representative of the Dis-Chem Foundation.

About the Dis-Chem Foundation:

Established in 2006, the Dis-Chem Foundation emerged from a deep concern for the escalating levels of poverty in South Africa. As a beneficiary of Dis-Chem Pharmacies and Dis-Chem Baby City’s Benefits Programme, the Foundation receives a portion of the value of purchases made by members, who earn points for their spend. This partnership enables the Dis-Chem Foundation to drive positive change and provide assistance where it is most needed.
