Vuyolwethu Dubese – a powerhouse all about impact

A multiple award-nominated professional in impact and inclusive development, and innovation strategy, Vuyolwethu Dubese has over the past five years served as a Startup Partnerships Lead for Africa for global intelligence firm, Thomson Reuters and as an Impact Acceleration Associate at investment and advisory firm, Impact Amplifier. Dubese has also served on boards, one including an NPC that has impacted through coding and leadership skills training of over 200 000 young girls over 14 years in South Africa. At present, she is an Associate at an impact measurement and innovation strategy company, a Partner Ambassador for Standard Bank Top Women and a Mentor at Allan Gray Orbis Foundation amongst other duties.

Harnessing and delivering her enterprise value expertise in the areas of Impact Measurement, Development Advisory, Innovation Strategy and Championing Diversity and Inclusion has also lead her to partner with the United Nations Development Program platform for African entrepreneurs as a Partner licensing her content from her website www.vdubese.com

As a result of her passions and expertise, Dubese has since worked with organisations including WEF Global Shapers, Standard Bank, Global Startup Awards, World Bank Group, UCT Graduate Business School, Desmond and Leah Tutu Foundation, Absa, Seedstars World, MEST Africa. As a speaker, she’s graced the stages of the African Angel Investor Summit, Africa Women in Technology, Facebook, Southern Africa Innovation Summit, University of Cape Town and University of the Western Cape. Being the noted moderator that she is, she’s also engaged multiple high-level events in and outside of South Africa including the USAID Global Entrepreneurship Week, Top Empowerment Conference and Awards and the Timeless Women’s Conference and Gala Dinner in Rwanda to mention a few.

A Millennial Mag 20 Young People to Watch honouree, 2x Inspiring Fifty South Africa (in cooperation with the Kingdom of the Netherlands) Top 50 SA Women in Technology nominee, and Womandla and Nedbank Women in STEM 2019 nominee, she has since 2017, she’s also been serving as a One Young World Ambassador and since 2018, and for the period of 2018 – 2020 served as Ambassador and Judge for the Global Startup Awards: Southern Africa region.
