Old Mutual Insure has a responsible business programme that enables the company to be responsible towards its customers, employees, broader communities, and the natural environment.
Its aim is to deliver cutting-edge Corporate Social Investment, to contribute to inclusive, transformative, impactful, and sustainable socio-economic development in communities where it operates, and does this through a deliberately inclusive approach and by promoting social legitimacy and shared value.
In a school shoe drive partnership with Mamas Alliance, Old Mutual Insure distributed 1 500 school shoes to underprivileged children, many of whom go to school with torn shoes, broken shoes and in many instances, no shoes at all.

Antonia Oakes, Executive of Responsible Business at Old Mutual Insure, spoke to ImpactSA about the School Shoe Drive and other CSI initiatives that are having a meaningful impact on South African communities.
